Symptoms of Serious Skin Diseases
When a skin disease strikes we generally try our house hold remedies. But sometimes the disease become so serious, this is generally a case of severe skin diseases or even skin cancer. So a proper checkup should be done as soon as any skin infection occurs to your body.
Today Skin cancer is becoming the most common. The two other most common types of skin cancer are basal cell cancer and squamous cell cancer. Melanoma is another more serious type of skin cancer but is less common. The number of cases of skin cancer has been increasing day by day and the main factor behind this is exposure of skin to the sun.
A mole is a type of growths on the skin that usually happens when cells in the skin, called melanocytes, grow in a cluster with tissue surrounding them. In common case many people have moles between 10 and 40 moles. These moles usually develop time to time in human beings, usually until about age 40. Among one in every 10 people has at least one unusual (or atypical) mole that looks different from an ordinary mole. This mole has the greater chance than an ordinary mole to develop into melanoma skin cancer.
Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes scaling and swelling in the skin. In psoriasis skin disease patches of thick, red skin with silvery scales forms. These patches can itch or feel uncomfortable. These patches can be on the elbows, knees, other parts of the legs, scalp, lower back, face, palms, and soles of the feet and also they can occur on other body parts. Psoriasis looks like other skin diseases and thus it is very difficult to diagnose. The dermatologist takes a sample of affected area and diagnoses it under a microscope. The size of the psoriasis patches and the type of psoriasis decides what treatment is to be given.
Rashes generally develop on dry and itchy skin. A rash generally occurs on the face, inside the elbows, behind the knees, and on the hands and feet. Protect of your skin from external factors will help in preventing rashes.
Flushing or redness of the face, small red lines under the skin or inflamed eyes/eyelids, swollen nose, and thicker skin are the symptoms of skin disease called rosacea. There is no particular remedy for rosacea, but it can be treated and controlled.
